Utladalen Naturhus, or nature house, is found on the old farm of Skåri. Operations on the farm first ceased in the 1970s. 1996 saw the beginning of the restoration of the old cultural landscape. Utladalen Naturhus was opened in May of 1998, and is run by a foundation of the same name. The aim of the foundation is to provide information about the natural and cultural history of the valley of Utladalen and Western Jotunheimen.
The building houses an exhibition on the natural and cultural history of Western Jotunheimen.
There is a summer time café open between the 20th of June and the 20th of August.
From here you can participate in guided tours to the farm of Avdal and the Vettifossen waterfall.
